Our models

It hears timbre. It knows which knobs to turn.

The ear hears the colour of a sound, whether you describe it or play it. The brain knows which controls on the synth will take you there.

It hears which instrument is playing, how it was played, and what the sound is made of.

Words and audio meet in the same place: a warm analogue pad written is heard like a warm analogue pad played.

The brain

It knows which controls to move, and on which instrument, to reach the sound you are after.

From there it knows the way toward brighter, warmer or fuller, so you can push the sound and listen.
